ACT 3 the final Push
Election Week
I’m going to try and go short this week… last week was really super stressful and I’m only getting better today. I still managed to get my words in and get through my school work as well. It was synopsis week… and let me tell you, I went through 4 versions of my synopsis and still probably need to get one more version/tweak in there.
Word count
So last week was 12 of 16 toward deadline, and my weekly goal is to hit 6500 words. I finally got my book outlined (cork board photo at the top of the page) all the way to the end. I have it figured out and if I can keep the chapters to about 2k per I should be able to finish the book in about 20k or so.
I’m using nanowrimo to push myself to go even better, faster. Though I have to say I’m disappointed in the way the website looks and works this year. For some reason, my buddy list isn’t showing up on my landing page. Also, I remember when there used to be a chart that tracked your progress and it showed your bars, and average words per day, and all of that. There is nothing.
I miss being able to see my buddies and their progress and I like the analytics chart. Oh well.
Last week I managed 9133 words over 3 writing sections. Bringing the WIP up to 160,923 total words.
Happening in the Story:
I just hammered through 4 chapters last week, getting all of the stories into the third act. The most fun was with the two chapters wherein Nemo is catapulted through space and time, over a dozen jumps. IT was a lot of phone having them link up with his appearances in other POV chapters and making it work that he’s at different points in the timeline.
Next Week
I get to have Slater oversee the city, have Caitlyn get her final training, and then rush the city anyway… 10 parts in the city… the last act. Character deaths (should say more character deaths as several are already gone)… more secrets and consequences… and evil/darkness/ antagonists take a lot of wins…
I’m in the last 2 weeks of classes, I do have to write a final essay so that will cut into my write time, but then it’s a couple weeks off before deadline. So, I have a LOT of work to do… keep pushing, keep writing… and I promise I will get these posts filled with a little more information. I have been really cutting them short.
